Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer that is well known for her highly commendable performances in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for the movie Piano. The actress of distinction began her career in acting on the stage with an array of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. From her early years, she has been passionate about the art of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in the school's play. The mumps that she contracted left her blind and deaf in one ear. However, she was determined not to allow that hinder her from becoming an actress. While in college, she took classes in theatre after which she moved from the Midwest to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. When she moved from Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and scored the role of a co-star as a character Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in numerous movies, television shows and movies over the course of her career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
